ATTENTION: BRMS 2017 Annual General Meeting
The 2017 BRMS AGM will be held Tuesday, May 9, 7:00 – 8:00 PM at the Shearstown Lions Club. The AGM is open to all parents and players registered with BRMS for the upcoming season. The purpose of the AGM is to elect officers to the executive, identify coaches for the various divisions, answer any questions or concerns and address any other outstanding or new issues. If you are interested in volunteering, coaching or serving on the executive for this upcoming year, or have a question or issue you’d like addressed, please join us next week.
BRMS will be walking in the Klondyke Parade tomorrow evening (Wed. Jul, 20) Line up at the Town Hall 6:00, Parade starts at 6:30. We will stay together in a group and parents are asked to pick their child up when we reach the Legion. Given the number of people and the water, we do not want to be responsible for the children during the opening ceremonies. Thanking you in advance for your cooperation. See you there. Go ROVERS!!
Thanks for the huge feedback on the survey. I posted it for 60 mins and have attached an image of the results. I believe the wind chill is too cold this evening – especially for 5 – 7 year olds – plus we have rain in the area. We still have ~ 12 weeks left to the season and hopefully some good weather to come.
In order to help make the decision to cancel practice on days where it can go either way, I’d like input from parents. I have a simple anonymous poll set up to get a simple yes or no. It will help me gauge what parents are thinking as a group. Thanks.
Tonight’s start date has been delayed until Wednesday depending on whether or not the maintenance work on the field has been completed

If there is anyone interested in helping out with the beginner-level softball (2009, 2010, 2011 kids) this summer, please let me know. The commitment would be 6-7 pm Mondays and Wednesdays. Myself and two other certified coaches are currently committed to run the sessions. I’ll be preparing sessions ahead of time using Softball Canada’s Learn to Play program so you’ll know what to expect each evening. No real softball skill is required. We really just need the extra bodies on the field to help us out with the large number of children and ensure we maximize our 60 mins each session. The manual recommends a ratio of 2:1 coaches to players but that’s not an option for us. Let me know. Thanks.
